About Me

My name is Matthew Klimek and here are some principles I live by: Treat people the way you want to be treated. Progress equals happiness. Understanding the problem is 90% of the solution. The best way to learn is to teach. Discipline is the most important skill one can develop. The tortoise wins in the end.

When I was a kid, I used to play Miniclip games with my 2 brothers. I was always fascinated by how those games were available to us with just a few clicks. How were they made? How was it possible that we had access to them? Who was on the other side of the platform, and how did they create it?

Years later, that curiosity led me to discover how the web works. The random topics of the web, including domains, DNS, IP, load balancers, authentication, business logic, relational databases, and an array of other topics relating to web development, were overwhelming, but over time the puzzle pieces fell into place.

Today, I'm working on a full-stack web and mobile application with a couple of software engineers that allows us to set up health goals and track our progress toward them. I'm lucky enough to work on every part of the application: authentication, API handler creation, AWS configuration, and more!
